Guidance for Environmental Planners



Education of talented individuals can address both business and the environment is now urged in 21st century-styled companies; the ¡ÆEnvironmental Planner¡Ç is greatly anticipated as its advocate.

This issue reports on an ¡Æenvironmental planner training course¡Ç held in October 2001.

An ¡ÆEnvironmental Planner training course¡Ç was held at the Shin-Maru Conference Square in front of Tokyo Station for a few days from October 1, 2001.

This course consists of ¡ÆBasic course¡Ç and ¡ÆSchooling¡Ç to train Environmental Planners and is the basis for superior certificates such Environmental Planner ER and Environmental Planner ERO. Concurrently, this cultivates indispensable fundamental knowledge for people who engage in environmental accounting, environmental design, and manufacturing design in organizations.

Twenty participants gathered from various fields such as the information technology industry, environment-related entrepreneurs, accountants, advertising agents, and engineering students. The new certificate, ¡ÆEnvironmental Planner¡Ç, seemed to be a matter of primary concern. Those participants¡Ç purposes vary: seeking immediate reflection in their current jobs, considering future prospects, and aiming at deepening knowledge of environmental issues. Surely, this will be the first step to promote more effective environmental administration for the coming new age.
